Bug Description
An upgrade from feisty via adept failed. First it popped an error dialog "could not install debconf". Pressing on "report bug" button had no effect (i.e. I could see from the small bouncy icon it was trying to bring up konqurer, but failed). Then a second error about x11-base. And then it hang.
Luckily I am not a novice, so after a few cycles of 'dpg configure' 'apt-get update' 'update upgrade' reboots and adept (the exact details are hazy in my mind, sorry).
The system is a dell D820, was running fully updated feisty. I will attach the logs etc if I can (can't see an option here)
