This one is odd. On the surface, it looks like one of the few genuine package conflict bug reported in launchpad against kodi. But when I look at the file list of https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kodi/16.1+dfsg1-2/+build/10635522/+files/kodi-bin_16.1+dfsg1-2_amd64.deb then /usr/bin/kodi is not part of that package.

Are you sure these were official ubuntu packages?

But in the end it unsurprisingly turns out to be more of the same as evidenced by DpkgTerminalLog.txt. It's not a bug in Ubuntu. Marking as invalid.

Don't install random packages off the internet, it's a really stupid and dangerous thing to do. And definitely don't come running to report a problem in Ubuntu afterwards when you managed to screw up your system because of it.
