Nautilus: when trying to open rtf file it instead tries to execute it

Rtf file resides in FAT32 partition and when trying to open it from nautilus by double clicking it will instead try to execute it. Doc and odt files aren opened correctly in openoffice writer.

Rtf file type is:
Rich Text Format data, version 1, ANSI

grep "application/rtf" /usr/share/applications/defaults.list
application/rtf=ooo-writer.desktop

grep "application/rtf" /etc/gnome/defaults.list
application/rtf=ooo-writer.desktop

Thanks for your report, is that reproducible with another user? Does it works fine if you don't have that file on a FAT32 partition?

Hello,

Yes it is reproducible by another user, and no it behaves similarly at least
reiserfs filesystem. So there is some sort of bug that is not filesystem
dependable.

That works fine in my desktop in a Gutsy and Hardy installations. to be confirmed by someone else, thanks.

Pedro: Have you tried with test rtf files i have submitted for the (possible) duplicate bug: 164519 ?

Thank you for your bug report. Here with the latest nautilus available on Hardy is working perfectly. I am marking this bug as Invalid. Please reopen it if someone can confirm this.

I have (almost) new 8.04.1 (updated, without proposed and backports packages) and my .rtf files were not associated to OpenOffice Writer.
