If you want you can replace the (ò) with the normal "o".

iconv -f iso-8859-1 -t utf-8 tempfile | gtklp

Thanks for the bug report.

The gtklp package is not in main, which means it is not translatable in Ubuntu and Ubuntu translators cannot fix it in Launchpad.

The bug should be best reported upstream and fixed there,
