Bug Description

Premise: before the upgrade, the system was at version 16.04 and I had no problems with the printer.
Some days ago I upgraded my os (xubuntu) through the upgrade screen.
I haven' t found any bugs or problems, until I haven't tried to print a document. At first I tried from chromium, I started the printer and, just started the process, the printer has stopped. By controlling the computer, I realized I could no longer do anything, the pc was completely frozen (no access to the mouse, the keyboard seemed turned off and there was no change on the screen).
Rebooting from the reset button, the pc is back fully operational, without giving any error message after login. I tried to print directly from local, downloading the document, and it happened the same. Searching around I cannot find anyone that suffer these problems after the upgrade.

The printer is an hp 1110 psc installed and connected via usb.

It's probably bug #1630063. The system seems to lock up because the keyboard and/or mouse are plugged into the same USB hub as the printer. If you can plug them differently, only the printer will lock up. Running "lsusb" in a terminal will show which hub the devices are connected to. If you can still type after a lockup, then the typing "dmesg" in a terminal may show ohci-pci errors.
