Bug Description
[Impact]
Documentation for netplan is misleading and may suggest that globbing is always possible in netplan config.
[Test case]
- Validate that documentation shipped with netplan points out that globbing is not supported in the NetworkManager renderer (see /usr/share/
[Regression potential]
None, this is limited to documentation changes.
---
snapd creates a netplan configuration file which uses globs for ethernet interface names. Netplan currently does not support these as NetworkManager does not offer any possibility to specify globs in its connection files.
Right, this should at least be documented in the manpage. The NM renderer already produces an appropriate error message.
