I am using Kubuntu version 7.10, Gutsy Gibbons. I updated my system
this morning as usual using Adept, but the red triangluar symbol
remained after the update. I touched on it again after closing Adept
and it said that I had one file to update. So I reopened Adept and
when it "fetched" the files needed, it said I needed three more. So I
downloaded and during the install Adept froze and I got a crash
notice, unfortunately did not write down the number, but did copy the
back trace and sent it. The red triangle notification symbol is gone
now. Not sure what happened since it usually performs flawlessly.
Hope this helps. My whole system did not lock up, just that install
portion. I closed it and send my email.

Hi Andrea,

Does this confirmed status mean that a legitimate bug was discovered?
Just curious.
Thanks.

Hi!

I get this error using Adept too. It happens when I download a package. It downloads, but when it's installing (24% more or less), I get a message that says that the package was corrupt or not downloaded at all.

Right now, I turn on the computer and get this message opening Adept:

So i couldn't download synaptic or another package manager...

Sorry for my english :(

My issue seems to have resolved. I have had no further issues with Adept.
Have you reported your issue to launchpad? No English problem.
