- Not running tests is a red flag for me. Can these be re-enabled or have only the flaky tests disabled? Or even maybe the race condition fixed?

Usually yes. At the least I like to see that we understand what the problem is with the tests and how much work it would be to solve it.

Apparently we have racy tests. Do we know which? Can we just skip those and file a bug for tracking it in the meantime (there is no bug tracking the current lack of tests...)? Is upstream aware of the issue?

I am currently trying to sort the tests. I had an old patch fixing some of them, and I am now checking what can be fixed and what needs to be disabled. Will report the status here soon.
