Editing user defined column directly in a table cell does not display a combo with existing values anymore

Before version 2.64: having a user defined column of type 'Text, column shown in the tag browser' or 'Text column for keeping series-like information', click in a cell for this column in the main table in order to edit it. The cell enters in edit mode, showing it as a text edit field with a knob in the right which when clicked display a list of possible values.

In the last version (2.64) the knob is not displayed anymore.

This bug does not affect user defined columns of type 'Text, but with a fixed set of permitted values' or built in columns.

Tested with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

I cannot replicate this. I assume you are talking about enumeration
fields (i.e. columns of type 'Text, but with a fixed set of values').
Editing those in the book list still shows up as a dropdown box of
values to choose from.

Kovid: It sounds like he is talking about completion for normalized text columns, although I am not sure what a "knob" is.

I am not near a computer so I can't try it. I can take a look later tonight.

Completion still works for me as well.

For columns of type 'Text, but with a fixed set of values' it works nicely.

The bug only happens for columns of the following types:
- 'Text, column shown in the tag browser'
- 'Text column for keeping series-like information'

All other kinds of column, as far as I know, work as expected, no trouble at all.

With "knob" I was meaning the button of a combo box that displays a little arrow. Sorry, I'm not a native speaker, don't know what the right word is.

Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every Friday.
