So, this seems like a not-super- well-maintained package. It looks like it gets enough love to keep it going (fix ftbfs etc), but not enough to smooth out its rough edges. That is probably enough for now.
But the bug list could be better-cared-for at a minimum. I glanced them over and saw several low-hanging-fruit dups and bugs that should be re-assigned.
Not quite a blocker, but very odd, and worth confirming we aren't missing some configuration here: debconf/ confmodule but never actually do anything with it? Can we drop the use of debconf please?
- preinst and postinst pull in /usr/share/
Some non-blockers issues: javascript- library usr/share/ doc/libusermetr ics-doc/ html/jquery. js please use libjs-jquery
- Bug 1363386 (plural forms) should really have some resources dedicated to it
