Package installer reports only one dependency, not all

Bug Description

I like that I can now download a .deb file and it opens directly in the package installer, however I was installing Kerberos packages on a vanilla Ubuntu Gutsy install, starting with "krb5-user", which reported that "libkadm55" was a dependency (fine so far), but "krb5-config" is also a dependency, which it does not tell me until I have installed the first dependency. It would be nice to have it list *all* dependencies first time. It is not a huge major, as I can simply go through and install each dependency one at a time, but it would be nice (and a slight time-saver) to get them all listed at once so I can go and get them all together. It would be especially noticeable for anyone who was not directly connected to the internet and had to transfer packages by "sneaker net" (e.g. Ubuntu box at home and they're using a USB drive to transfer files from work where they have an internet connection).

This is low priority; just a small feature request.

Additional information: it appears that this only happens when it is not connected directly to the internet, or (in my case) is missing proxy settings from apt.conf, or has them incorrect (we use a proxy here). On a later install with apt proxy settings correct, it showed the packages I needed and downloaded them fine. So, the issue probably only appears for someone who does not have direct internet access, but this is when it would be needed.

Thanks for your bugreport.

If this is still a problem I would be interessted to hear more about it including steps how to reproduce it.

Hi there,
I cannot actually be certain if it still occurs as I am no longer able to
test it - the scenario was that it was a machine on a network but without
direct internet access (it was through an authenticated proxy - at my old
work - and so initially Ubuntu did not know how to get to the internet as it
didn't know about the proxy. But, I think the same may happen if a machine
is not internet connected at all - though it might have to have a network
connection).

Hope this helps - sorry that I am not able to test it now, but hopefully
someone will be able to find out a way to check it (unless it has already
been changed).

Thanks,
  - Bevan.
