Shape file for Paul Gausden's SR 333 Remembrance doesn't show

Hello,

Today I downloaded Paul Gausden's model of the SR (originally LBSCR) "Remembrance" 4-6-4 tank loco. This loco is found in UKTS file UKTS_7143_SR333.zip. It runs fine in ORTS but the shape file doesn't show in-game (I ran it on the old EB London South Coast route). It shows up fine in MSTS, however. Interestingly, a couple of other early Gausden SR steam locos, found in UKTS_10101_SRO1B.zip and UKTS_13127_SRE2.zip show up in ORTS just fine.

I'm attaching the OpenRails log file as well as a screenshot for your perusal. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and thanks a whole bunch for ORTS!!

Hi Carlo,

I loaded up x.3572, but the locomotive's shape file still doesn't show; see
below; drivers are suspended in mid-air :-)

That's quite strange. I downloaded x.3572 and I see the loco. Are you sure you're using x.3572? Pls. check that on the main HUD (F5).

Dave, can you please attach the OpenRailsLog.txt file you obtain with release x.3572?

Hi Carlo,

Attached are 2 log files, one each for opening up a route that doesn't show
the SR333.s shape (Watersnake v.2) and one that does show it (Dorset
Coast). The Dorset Coast log file is OpenRailsLog_1, and the Watersnake v.2
log file is OpenRailsLog_2. Also below are a couple of shots, one each on
Dorset and Watersnake, with the F5 HUD showing.

Watersnake v.2. I opened the cylinder cocks and turned on the regulator to
100% so you could see where the ghostly engine was located ;-)

That's becoming interesting.
I see that you have two copies of the SR333 folder, so the first thing coming in mind is that file sr333.s is different in the two folders. Could you check this, by replacing the one in the route where the loco is not shown with the one in the route where the loco is shown? And could you attach here the sr333.s file from the route where the loco is not shown?

Hi Carlo,

Problem solved! As it turned out I *did* have two different versions of the
sr333.s file, the one that didn't show up was 387 kb, while the one on
Dorset that did was 397 kb. When I substituted the slightly larger s file
for the smaller one the problem went away! So I think that I caused you
much ado about nothing, for which I apologize: not an OR problem at all,
just the engine driver failing to engage brain before opening up the
regulator! 😵

I'm attaching the two different s files zipped up in folders if you want to
look at them. Again, many, many thanks.

Dave, nice this has been solved too. There is nothing you have to apologize about: neither the "good" version of the .s file showed up before x.3572, so there effectively was an OR bug.
