trying to switch workspaces in any way, drag and drop or anything to do with the workspace switcher does not work

I'm running Ubuntu 7.10, Workspace Switcher 2.20.0.1

Removing the applet and adding it back to panel seems to have fixed the issue for now.

to close as a duplicate you have to get the exact number, there is a log of some hundred desktop bugs and we are busy enough without doing that

No I did not. It just doesn't appear on my system right now.
It is not like the bug would go away by restarting a piece of software.

I cannot find a duplicate report, at least not one that is open.
I tried searching for the duplicate. You cannot blame me. I never said
such exists. Claiming that a duplicate bug exists and have been fixed,
is starting to seem like a conspiracy to me.

Do you use the desktop effects option, does it work without it? How many workspaces are display? How do you try to switch workspaces?

The bug appeared at my work pc where I use effects,
but also on my home computer where I don't.
I use 4 workspaces. The bug prevents me from changing
workspace by clicking on the switcher. It also makes it
impossible to move windows from one workspace to another
by dragging them within the switcher.

Using ctrl + alt + left/right to change workspace works, but
even in that case switcher doesn't seem to realize which
workspace is currently active.

I have like tony made 4 workspaces, and i can't change workspace.

If i press ctrl + alt + down i can see the workspaces, but not got too them.

I the help manual theres writtin that you should press shit + ctrl + alt + the arrow, to get to the other workspace. It's stands under hotkeys.

 you running compiz fusion right? if so go to the start menu then to
prefrences and then to advance desktop effect settings. then screw around a
bit with the settings for desktop switcher.

Hello,
I've have the same bug:

The bug prevents me from changing workspace by clicking on the switcher.
Keyboard shortcuts also do not work

The problem occurs only when 3d acceleration is on (i.e. desktop effects).

if i press super + e then it displays four workspaces, and i can click on them, so that's fine.
At leats now i can get my music player back :D :D

Removing and putting again workspace switcher does not help

ok just mess around with the compiz settings some more and get rid of "gl
desktop"(if you have it) also maby reset the whole compiz thing?
