Bug Description
I'm using Dell Vostro 1500.
Configuration,
160 GB SATA HD
Intel centrino dup processor
256MB nvidia graphiscs card
wreless & bluetooth
Both ubuntu 7.04 & kubuntu 7.10 live cd installer doesn't recognise existing hard disk partitions. I had vista preinstalled, then tried ubuntu 7.04 which couldnt retrieve HD partions. Then tried with pclinuxos which installed. Now again tried with kubuntu 7.10 & again same result. Ubuntu installer fails to retrieve existing partitons and wants to format whoe had disk.
Ubuntu 7.04 could mount existing partions but installtion couldn't & also gparted running in lice cd.

Triaged to Incomplete. Was CD checked for integrity? Need to verify with Hardy Alpha to see if problem still exists.
