Bug Description

Ubuntu 16.04.
I installed spyder
I realized I have 2.7 as default python version
I added 2.7 and 3.5 versions of python to update-alternatives
I did apt-get remove spyderr
I did apt-get autoremove
after I got a lot of crashes and dependency problems.
I am going to update or to change back to python 2.7 as default

everythings is now ok after change back to python 2.7 as default (using udpate-alternatives). No way to use python 3.5 as default?

I think a lot of stuff will assume that the 'python' command runs Python 2. You can run Python 3.5 as 'python3'. If you want extra convenience, making 'python' a bash alias should get you what you want without interfering with the system.
