Bug Description

OK, I think we found our first edge case from the server update or perhaps the active people work? Either way, something a user reported. If you look at an office forum, for example https://karl.soros.org/offices/baltimore/forums/, the time stamps on the posts are updated on a per click basis. One would think the time stamp should reflect when the item is posted by the original author. What seems to happening though is that the time stamps are updating each time some one clicks on the post. Very weird.

Any ideas what might be going on?

Thanks,
Nat

Carlos, I'm taking off for ng-conf tomorrow, any chance you could investigate this one this week, just to see if you can re-create it?

Confirming that this can be recreated on Staging. Original post time stamp: Monday, May 02 2016 16:05 (https://karlstaging.gocept.com/offices/baltimore/forums/baltimore-news/time-stamp-post/). Navigate to the All Forums view (https://karlstaging.gocept.com/offices/baltimore/forums/), click on a post, navigate back to All Forums view and notice that the time stamps for both posts showing has updated to reflect when the post was clicked on by the user, not when the topic was originally posted by the author.

Screenshots of original post and then the post time stamp changing in the All Forums view.

The view was looking for the wrong field, then assigning today's date as default when it wasn't found. Fixed on staging.

Looks fixed to me, but we might need Nat to re-create the original sequence.

I just tested on staging and I agree that this looks fixed!
