Bug Description

Hello,

I have a Toshiba Satellite P105-S6024, and I just recently updated to Gutsy Gibbons. I was using Edgy Eft previously, and I am still having the same problem with this release.

My sound doesn't work at all with anything while ACPI is on. Below are my attachments for the required outputs. It'd be greatly appreciated if you could help me fix this issue, or release an update to fix this problem.

Thanks,

Jengerer

If it is of any help to those working on the bug, these are the steps i followed to get my satellite p105 sound working in feisty (they no longer work in gutsy)

*Upgrade your BIOS to version 3.30.
*Download the custom DSDT file for the P100-343 (3.30) from http://acpi.sourceforge.net/ (via the view menu).
*Backup your "/boot/initrd.img-xxx" and "/boot/vmlinuz-xxx" files (Only for safety).
*Do a "sudo cp dsdt.aml /etc/initramfs-tools/DSDT.aml" (Is case sensitive!).
*Do a "sudo dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-$(uname -r)".
*Reboot.

Is 3.30 the latest version of your BIOS? 'Cause some people suggested that you should upgrade your BIOS first, and then apply the DSDT. I'm going to custom fix my DSDT, and then try your fix. I knew that I had to get a custom DSDT, but I couldn't find a straight forward routine to apply it.

Thanks, I'll let you know if I figure anything out.

We know of the workaround in Feisty. We want Gutsy to work.
