Bug Description
ZFS errors can go undetected by normally diligent users because it's new and werid and not part of any scheme we have for reporting errors like we do with SMART. When a disk is taken out of a ZFS pool for ZFS-internal criteria, nothing in the normal utilities that are installed will let a user know.
The ZFS event daemon will poll ZFS state and report errors to the root email address. (It's not as good as reporting errors into the GUI, but that's a feature and bug report for the Z-E-D. At least the admin user will get local email in the case of problems.)
The zfsutils-linux should Recommend zfs-zed.

Hi Chad, thanks for spotting that. I've uploaded the fix into ppa:colin- king/zfs- 0.6.5.4- alpha - it's currently building but should be ready in a short while to test.
If you can verify it does as expected, then I can get it uploaded into xenial
Thanks
