ubuntu-mate-core and lightdm do not upgrade cleanly

Bug Description

When upgrading from ubuntu-mate alpha2 to the current version in the repositories, the upgrade throws an error after executing "sudo apt-get install -f":

insserv: Service dbus has to be enabled to start service lightdm
insserv: exiting now!
update-rc.d: error: insserv rejected the script header
dpkg: error processing package lightdm (--configure):
 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of ubuntu-mate-core:
 ubuntu-mate-core depends on lightdm; however:
  Package lightdm is not configured yet.

dpkg: error processing package ubuntu-mate-core (--configure):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
No apport report written because the error message indicates its a followup error from a previous failure.
                          Errors were encountered while processing:
 lightdm
 ubuntu-mate-core

Additional information:
1.) I did a fresh install, updated the kernel and rebooted.
2.) I manually upgraded lightdm and ubuntu-mate-core immediately => everything ok.
3.) sudo apt-get upgrade and everything is fine, no bug to be seen.
4.) Obviously the order in which the upgrade is applied is important. Something got screwed up with the automatic ordering of applying the updates.
