After reboot, wireless connection made. Icon disappears if I try to connect to a different network. Latest version.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - the Gutsy Gibbon.

without any more information i guess this is a duplicate of bug 145683. please read the summary for a test package to verify a potential fix.

I just rebooted and I now get a properly functioning wireless icon.
