I am quite sure this is the same problem as bug #149491

Are you using compiz and amd64 architecture?

Thank you for reporting!

I'm not using compiz (it's not working with an ATI card on gutsy) and the architecture is x86.

Ok.

Do you have window borders? Are you able to resize it?

Could you please attach the full wengophone output and a screenshot?

Thanks!

I have window border but can not resize it. Another remark, the beta version on wengo website are working fine (for the window, the sound it's another problem).

I confirm the same bug on WengoPhone with a huge horizontal window and a huge vertical window that cannot be resized.
Gutsy + "fglrx" 64 bits driver + Compiz

The same problem with OpenOffice writer with a confimation window that occupyes the whole sreen (fullscreen) and that cannot be neither moved with Alt+mouse and nor resized.

Seems that the binary of version 2.1.1 from upstream does not have this issue. Note that they are shipping a private version of qt library. I'll do some checks.

Are both these bugs related to the arch?

I'm on a fresh install from an alt CD (ubuntustudio i386) and wengo has reproduced the big windows from the get go for me. Like https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149491 I have a problem with the configuration window which always goes off the screen on a 1280x800 display and cannot be resized under metacity or compiz. Moving to get to the bottom is often hit and miss too but that's the wm respecting the gnome panel.

In my case the problem appears only with the plastique theme.

Could you please run "qtconfig-qt4", change the GUI style to something else (like "Cleanlooks") and see if you still have this issue?

Thanks

I tried and yes it's working. I changed the style and I was able to nodify the size of the window. I tried to come back to plastick and it's working fine now. Perhaps it was a problem with the configuration in my home directory from feisty. Thanks.

So if you now *start* wengophone when the theme setting is "Plastique" you do not have the problem any longer?

I am asking it, because, in my case, I can switch to plastique without any problem if wengohone is running, but I still have this issue if the setting is "plastique" when I start wengophone.

I tried to restart with the theme plastique and the problem came back but not with the theme cleanlooks.
