Blackout when watching video

Bug Description

This maybe an issue with the nVidia drivers I am not to sure, I will get random screen blackouts when watching video, weather fullscreen part screen or embedded (YouTube). I will get a 1-2 second blackout of the entire screen. It happens randomly and sound is not affected.

Codecs tested: flv, wmv, mpeg-2, h.264, divx, xvid
Players used: Adobe Flash (Firefox plugin), Totem, mPlayer, vlc

Video card: nVidia GeForce FX5200
Driver used: The one Ubuntu grabbed via Restricted Devices

what version of the drivers? And have you tired different driver releases?

Did more testing, I am using the latest drivers from the Ubuntu repos. My
machine has all updates as of 16/10/2007.

Package: nvidia--glx-new
Version: 100.14.19

At the time of replying I have switched to the "nv" driver and problem is
not occuring
