open office crashes when opening help

I open open office writer. I go to help. I open the click the Openoffice.org help and open office stops responding.

I am using ubuntu 7.10 with the latest daily updates applied.
I am using OpenOffice.org 2.3.0.
openoffice.org-core1.2.3.0-1ubuntu4
sun-java6-jdk - 6-03-0ubuntu2.
I applied the latest open office update today. Went to help and clicked it again - froze again. I don't get any error message and I have to force quit.
I am using the latest intel video drivers for 7.10.

I notice if I try to use the format - column feature it also crashes. I started soffice from the command line and opened the help again. Here is the output.. You can see it gets cut off..

Are you using a non-ubuntu packaged gtk-theme (e.g. from gnome-look.org)? If so, please try again using a theme like clearlooks or human.
