gdebi-kde crashed with TypeError: invalid result type from GDebiKDEInstall.close()

Binary package hint: gdebi

I've tested installing virtualbox_1.5.0-24069-1_Ubuntu_feisty_i386.deb (from virtualbox.org).
During the install process, where it asked for the licence.

I've meant to cancel the installation by doing so.

It appears that after I've "kill"ed the gdebi-kde(?) process(es) (there have been 2), the dpkg database is still locked.
