The "main" Bluetooth skipping problem was fixed a few months ago in Ubuntu 18.04 here:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/1:11.1-1ubuntu7.1

That fixed the main bug in PulseAudio but there may remain some driver-specific bugs in the kernel like this one...

Are you using 18.04 or later?

The last I was using Ubuntu it was version 17.04! I had to switch back to Windows because bluetooth is very important to me.

Please also test after closing the Settings app. Does the problem persist with the Settings app gone?

I have symptoms of this same problem in Pop!_OS 19.10.

Bluetooth audio connections stutter, skip or disconnect entirely during moderate to heavy wifi use.

However, my problem involves Intel 9650 Wifi/BT adapter not a Broadcom adapter. If it is the same bug, then perhaps it is a configuration issue.
