Impress cannot play embedded videos

Binary package hint: openoffice.org2

It seems as OpenOffice in Kubuntu Feisty is build using Gstreamer library to play videos. I tried with several examples (avi, mov) but I cannot reproduce them. When running in the console I have the following message:

I had the same issue with ogg videos in Impress.

I built screenvideos using Istanbul.
It was funny - one video played - the other not...

my workaround was to import them as video althoug it wasn't recognized by Impress.
then they played.

Do you still have this problem with openoffice.org 1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2 in Ubuntu 8.04?
