Bug Description

Hi,

After successfully deploying an environment thru Fuel, I was unable to proceed on Horizon Dashboard thru the "Proceed to Horizon" button on the Fuel Dashboard. On the attached image file (bug_horizon_1), you can see that by pointing the cursor to the button, the given IP is 172.16.31.151 which is not the correct IP of the controller node (should be 172.16.31.153; br-ex interface).

The workaround I did to access the dashboard at 172.16.31.x network is to modify the /etc/apache2/sites-available/horizon_vhosts.conf (at the controller node) to use 172.16.31.153:80. and restart the apache service. You'll see that I was able to access the dashboard using the correct controller node IP, 172.16.31.153 on the attached image (bug_horizon_2).

Please help check.

Thanks!

Update: In Fuel 8.0 "Go to Horizon" button refers to https://public.fuel.local/. It is local to env hostname and cannot be resolved outside of deployed environment.

The address you are seeing is the public virtual IP address, not the public IP of the primary controller. This isn't a bug.

Hi Matthew,

Can you explain why the fuel dashboard is accessible using the primary controller IP instead of the public virtual IP address?

Thanks!

From comment 7, there is "Go to Horizon" button but after successfully deployed fuel 570 iso, I do not see any button for launch horizon dashboard. Please check
