Bug Description
Hi Team,
Facing peculiar problem. I turned on mobile data, location on my BQ Ubuntu phone.
Still I cannot see update on Today, Nearby scopes. Also my current location was showing Washim in Maharashtra India while I'm based in Pune, Maharashtra.
This is ridiculous.
Next thing is that while mobile data is on, I cannot access Facebook through app. Check internet connection is error shown.
Same with udates for apps, OS.
Since this is first time Im wroting about Ubuntu phone problems, I request you to forward to respective teams in case my error report may not be outside your activity reach.
Also, can I have any contact email to whom I may raise my concerns so you may not be troubled?
Ubuntu phone is great stuff.
Regards,
Harsh

@Harsh
It sounds like your basic problem is that you're not able to establish a data connection via your mobile network. If that's true, then none of the other activities will work, unless you alternatively connect to the network via WiFi. Also, if you haven't done so yet, you might want to first connect to WiFi and ensure that your phone has all the latest OS updates installed.
What's the name of your carrier? Have you checked to see that your APN settings are correct? The APN settings are used by the phone to establish a network connection with your operator. Most operators will have a page on their website which shows the correct settings. On the Ubuntu phone, these settings can be modified in System Settings: :Cellular: :Carrier: :APN. Normally these settings are automatically provisioned on the phone. Can you tell us if you see any entries listed on the settings APN screen? If there are settings present, you may need to correct them. If there aren't any listed, you may need to enter them from scratch.
