Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

When I try to change an existing theme (eg border or icons) a new theme is created and I can use the SaveAs button to save it under a new name, but if I only change the mouse pointer no theme is created and the SaveAs button is deactivated.
When I try to change icons and mouse pointer, not the selected pointer or the original theme pointer is stored in the theme. The stored pointer is the one i had when starting gnome-appearance-properties.
The problem seem to me specific to gutsy because a theme that I created under feisty has the right pointer.
Another effect is: When I first change the pointer and then the icons, then the pointer is changed with the icons (back to the pointer when starting gnome-appearance-properties).

Bug is partially fixed

Scenario 1:
a. Select theme
b. Change pointer
c. Change border
d. Save As
-> OK: Correct pointer saved

Scenario 2: (b <-> c)
a. Select theme
b. Change border
c. Change pointer
d. Save As
-> Bug: pointer not saved

Scenario 3:
a. Select theme
b. Change pointer
-> Bug: Button [Save As] disabled, can't save
Themes cannot be saved if they differ only in pointer.

There also seems to be a problem with pointers with variable size.
Either the size is not saved properly or not loaded properly at theme change, but i can't say how to reproduce.

Already tested the update for Gutsy and Is ok to wait for the total fix on the "only change mouse pointer" but there's still a part of the save of the xcursor setting that is not fixed (Scenario 2), I've re-opened the bug upstream. thanks barcc.
