Geary crashes at random times with no particular reason.

This affects me as well. Appears random. Usually after clicking a new message or some time after opening a link. I have a fully updated install of elementary OS Freya 64-bit

Same problem here, Dealt with this back when I first ran Freya and has since returned. This is a major issue because this is default application for the distribution, and a great one at that.

There is mention of webkit in the dmesg output, but when I run this from the terminal it automatically prints the java version there's also GLIB/GObject criticals, but I'm not sure if they are related to the crash, since they seem to occur without any noticed effects.?

PS: (sorry I don't seem to know how to edit a comment), but is this program even being actively developed? I know Elementary OS is planning to switch to Pantheon Mail, and I "thought" Geary was their project, but I could be wrong.

I just tried installing Geary 11 and it seems to work fine without the same issue of crashing. I did it via ppa:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:geary-team/releases

My elementary OS would not automatically update to 11 with

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

I had to go into Synaptic Package Manager, select the Geary package and choose Force Version under the package menu item to select version 11.
