Bug Description

Binary package hint: tilda

When you disable the animated pulldown option in the Tilda preferences the whole application doesn't function anymore. You either get a full black or a full white terminal with no text. Enabling the animated pulldown and restarting the application makes it work again. This bug is not present in the Feisty version.

Well it seems this bug isn't only related to disabling animated pulldown. I enabled it and fiddled with some other options like center horizontally and all kind of weird stuff is going on.

I have the same problem with tilda going blank after the having hid it with the hot key and then trying to bring it back with the hot key. As the submitter wrote, restarting the application may be necessary to see the results of any changed settings in the Preferences dialogue.

Same version of tilda (0.09.4-4 on gutsy).

BUG OCCURS for me under the following circumstances:
* Animated pulldown disabled
* Animated pulldown enabled AND AnimationOrientation=Top AND AnimationDelay<1000
* Animated pulldown enabled AND AnimationOrientation=Bottom AND AnimationDelay<1000

Bug DOES NOT occur for me under the following circumstances:
* Animated pulldown enabled AND AnimationOrientation=Top AND AnimationDelay>10000
* Animated pulldown enabled AND AnimationOrientation=Bottom AND AnimationDelay>10000
* Animated pulldown enabled AND AnimationOrientation=Right AND AnimationDelay>100
* Animated pulldown enabled AND AnimationOrientation=Left AND AnimationDelay>100

The bug occurs SOMETIMES for me under the following circumstances:
* Animated pulldown enabled AND AnimationOrientation=Top AND AnimationDelay>1000 AND AnimationDelay<10000
* Animated pulldown enabled AND AnimationOrientation=Bottom AND AnimationDelay>1000 AND AnimationDelay<10000
* Animated pulldown enabled AND AnimationOrientation=Right AND AnimationDelay<100
* Animated pulldown enabled AND AnimationOrientation=Left AND AnimationDelay<100

Whenever the bug starts to occur in a tilda window, I can not get rid of it in any other way than really restarting the application. Hiding and unhiding with the hot key doesn't bring it back to a working condition.
