Random Freeze in Gutsy

Bug Description

I am experiencing random freeze in gutsy when kept idle for sometime. The fan moves at the highest speed. The screen becomes blank. Neither keyboard or mouse works. Have to press hard boot button to reboot.

I am using 2.6.22-12-generic on toshiba latop with intel dual core processor following is the output of lspci

I do not think this is duplicate. I have not enabled compiz on my computer.

I found that it hangs whenever I close the lid and open it back. It was working in feisty, I mean closing and opening of the lid on my laptop.

Now it is not working. something probably related to sleep or acpi.
