Bug Description

The Interface about Kdenlive has an error because there isn't any icons and I press one place and automatically exits of the program.

This occurs in all versions of Linux Mint 17.1. I tried to reinstall the program, but it's the same.

Hi. Does the interface look something like this? (see attachment)

If so, installing these packages fixed it for me: kdelibs5-data kdelibs5-dev kdelibs5-plugins

Ah forgot, you need to also install kde-runtime.

I tried to install the packages you say and Kdenlive works well, but, is there any way to install this packages automatically when I install Kdenlive as Terminal as Software Center of Linux Mint?

PD: I'm from Spain and I need the KDE package in Spanish, when I use Kdenlive is in English, although I go to Languages menu and I click on "applied throughout the system" the KDE Spanish package doesn't install, but Ubuntu does it. Is there any way to install whis automatically instead of Terminal.

Thanks.-

The Linux Mint 17 kdenlive 0.9.8 package is very difficult to use, because missing very lot dependencies! (menu, icons, translations, video library, etc...)

The good solution is to install the official package of the Kdenlive team: ppa:sunab/kdenlive-release

And I hope a change by Linux Mint team of this package, because today lot of users don't like Kdenlive.
But the problem is this package, not kdenlive.

Thanks for a good update, if possible!
