Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
I CAN SEE THE MOUSE!
Once machine is idle for a period the screen goes blank. (In power management and screensaver I told it not too.)
If I move the mouse to wake I can see mouse, clearly, moving around screen but almost the whole screen is black. (There is a small white square in upper-right corner I think.)
I have waited over an hour for something to happen but nothing changes. I can do a CTRL-ALT-Backspace and can login again but this does generate an error.

Noticed that when I do use the CTRL-ALT-BS I see the desktop background, briefly, before X restarts, but it looks bare and perhaps without decorations.
