Bug Description

Hello, I've encountered a strange (and unfortunatly
intermittant) issue with Hoary on a powerbook G4 800.
When waking from sleep, sometimes my usb mouse refuses
to turn on (it is optical, and I see no light). No amount
of plugging, unplugging, rmmoding, or modprobing will make
it turn back on. The only thing which seems to turn it
back on is a reboot into Mac OS. Through all of this the
touch pad works fine (not sure if that is USB).
It is an intellimouse explorer 3.0.

I don't own many usb devices that I can test under linux,
so assuming the touchpad isn't usb, it may be that the entire
usb bus just never got turned back on when the computer woke up.

Can you try removing the USB module before putting the machine to sleep, and
reloading it afterwards?

There have been many patches posted to <email address hidden> about
this issue (mainly from BenH and Colin Leroy). I believe most of them, if not
all, will be included in 2.6.12. So all that's needed is for the Ubuntu kernel
folks to package this version (well, of course, they can't do much until 2.6.12
is released...)

I'm closing that as a dup, please reopen if you have objections.

This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 13964.

Re-tested -- mouse now works for me (Breezy) after suspend/resume, both to-RAM,
and to-DISK (hibernate/swsusp).
