Bug Description

AMD radeon 5300 series, AMD phenoum 9550 quard-core 2.2Ghz, ubuntu 14.04 LTS, i dont know what is going, i just need to configure my fan on back-side of my PC, to make passive card more cold... its usually 70-80C

I did only "apt-get install i8kutils" on root acc logged into commandline.

I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
