Ubuntu MATE 15.04 fake RAID grub install failed

Bug Description

While installing Ubuntu MATE 15.04 beta 1 as a tester, grub failed to install on /dev/sda.
I tried some the other partitions but same result.

Even boot-repair livecd had issues

Hi,

I can't for the moment.
In fact, after the install failed, the RAID crashed so I had to erase it
entirely.
I'm running on 2 separate SSD now.
I don't know when I will be able to make a backup and try to recreate the
problem.
Since it is a factory made material fake RAID, I don't know if I will be
able to reproduce it.
