Bug Description

I am running newest version of Inkscape 0.91 w/Windows 7. I open up bitmap and use the "Trace Bitmap" feature. Inkscape produces a good copy. I then export DXF. When I open up the DXF in a CAD software, the dxf has random intersect lines that are attached to sharp angled nodes. I attached a JPEG as an example of what is happening. When I "Trace Bitmap" and then "Simplify", then the random lines disappear, but then I have less detail of the traced image when importing into CAD program.

Please also attach the original Inkscape SVG file and the exported DXF file to the bug report to allow further investigation. A screenshot of the DXF export options dialog might also be helpful.

Attaching SVG file with bitmap trace (not simplified) created using 0.91 r13725 on OS X for convenience, and in order to have a test case available which can be used on other systems.

What about the DXF export options?
(works for me with 0.91 r13725 on OS X 10.7.5 if I uncheck '[ ] use LWPOLYLINE type of line output' on DXF export.)

I did have LWPOLYLINE checked on the original problem request. I uncheck LWPOLYLINE and was successful in opening DXF into CAD without any extra polylines. Thank you

fix committed to rev 13980.
this fixes an incorrect implementation of a closed flag on LWPOLYLINE that was introduced in rev 12033, for Bug 1098283. The LWPOLYLINE output should now render the same as the old-style LINE element. This can be used by downloading dxf_outlines.py and dxf_outllines.inx from:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/inkscape/trunk/files/head:/share/extensions/

just a word of warning, though, the new version uses a standard Inkscape resolution of 96dpi, not 90dpi.
