Bug Description

When trying to launch the "Unity 8 in LXC" session from the official packages, lightdm freezes after logging in with the user's data.

After launching into the regular (Xubuntu, in this case) session, a crash of indicator-sound is reported.

Hi Daniel,

I would be surprised that indicator-sound crashing is the cause of you not being able to log in. The crash seems to be due to indicator-sound not getting the session DBus which is an issue in and of itself, so we'll leave this bug as is.

Could you please do the following (I apologize for extra work, but it will help me)?

- Open a new bug report against unity8-lxc.
- Attach the following logs to the bug report (if they exist):
  - /var/log/lightdm/unity-system-compositor.log
  - /var/log/lightdm/lightdm.log
  - ~/.cache/upstart/unity8.log

Thanks!

I think this crash is probably the same as the one in bug 1425024. I assigned that one to unity-greeter, I think that's probably where indicator-sound is getting started before DBus?
