Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Not sure if it's about xorg or clamtk, all I know is it hasn't changed the
virus definitions in a long time. It will say there is an update available
but doesn't change.

Hi,

Let's try to troubleshoot then. Open a terminal window and type "clamtk" without the quotes. Then try to update it like you normally would. Please post back any messages that appear in the terminal window.

Also, I may have missed it, but what version of ClamTk are you running?

Thanks,
Dave M

Assuming they installed from the Ubuntu package for 14.10 (the release
indicated in the bug metadata), it's clamtk 5.10.

Two more questions: *how* are you updating? Do you let freshclam do its thing, or do you update from within the program?

Also, please paste the output of "cat ~/.clamtk/prefs" here.

Thanks,
Dave M

I finally UN-installed it then reinstalled it, after the last update.
However, it looks different from what I remember. But then again, I've had
many versions. By the way, do you know or can you tell me what happened
to The Linux Ubuntu for Creative Humans?
That was the best program I ever used but turned my computer on one day and
it was gone..... it wasn't any longer one of the two OS's .. I still had an
older version of the 14.10 which I now have.
Here's a screenshot anyway.I showed three windows so you can see the
version, and what the rest looks like. ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Thanks , Herb A.

Hey,

I just signed the petition "United States Congress: STOP THE FEDERAL

to see if you could help by adding your name.

Our goal is to reach 7,500 signatures and we need more support. You can
