Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

The wireless interface in my laptop (iwl4965) is named wlan0. The most recent network-manager update commented out all of the automatic stanzas in /etc/network/interfaces except this one, causing me to lose networking because NM then started to ignore my only active interface.

I think this migration script fixes the issue. To test copy your backed up (original) interfaces file to /tmp/ and run the script like:

 NIF_FILE=/tmp/interfaces.bak-0 sh ifblacklist_migrate.sh

with the new ifblacklist_migrate.sh attached here.
