But if it isn't, then on the LP bug you should see "Also affects project", and it assumes the LXDE project which is a sourceforge tracker (it knows this). It asks for the upstream tracker bug location.

Tested and reproduced myself on the LXDE project tracker for LP Bug 1347402 - the actual error is as follows from LP when we try this: "Launchpad does not recognize the bug tracker at this URL."
Looks like LP doesn't recognize the SourceForge tracker?
