Bug Description
1) Release of Ubuntu:
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Release: 14.04
2) Version of Package:
compiz:
Installed: 1:0.9.11.
Candidate: 1:0.9.11.
Version table:
*** 1:0.9.11.

500 http://
3) What you expected to happen:
upon restoring a maximized application, and then moving the application window to a grid on the left or right part of the screen using the <ctrl>+
4) What happened instead:
window collapses to minimal size after dragging away application window from gridded position. this happens with almost all applications. i have also tried enabling "snap windows back to original size" from the CCSM grid-plugin settings, with no success.
thanks
i'v attached a screencast video of the problem.

here's an attachment of screenshot, step by step, using chromium as example:
1) start application in maximized mode.
2) move window to a grid on the left side of the screen using <ctrl>+<super>+left
3) drag window away using cursor from gridded postion, window collapses instead of retaining pre-gridded size.
