-I cliked icon on a laucher to open Nuvola Player.
-I selected change service -> Spotify service if I ran other service in previous session (usually I use Grooveshark)
-Spotify screen only shows the icon in the upper right corner. Nothing more. The rest is black.
-No records, neither hold messaging activity.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Is the issue reproducible in WebKitGtkFrame tool? Run following command in terminal:

Is the Spotify issue also reproducible in the WebKit2Gtk MiniBrowser? You may have to install a package libwebkit2gtk-3.0-25

I have the same in Ubuntu 14.04 Unity desktop.
After installation Spotify loads well bu atfer rebot i have same symptomps.

Tried to install libwebkit2gtk-3.0-25 but this didn't solved for me.

There is no need to run nuvolaplayer with sudo. Morevover, there can be issues with DBus interaction because of this.

This library is not used by Nuvola Player 2 at all. It's necessary for running the debugging commands I posted in my previous post. Have you tried to run them? If yes, what was the result?

Unfortunately, nothing that would look suspicious. Cold you run "nuvolaplayer --debug --debug-javascript"? It might provide some error messages from Spotify JavaScript code.

I'm closing this bug report as the issue seems to be a rather complicated mystery and I cannot spend more time on Nuvola Player 2. Nuvola Player project is underfunded, so I focus only on Nuvola Player 3. I'm sorry I haven't fixed the issue.
