Bug Description

Ubuntu 14.04.1, 64 Bit, Openshot Version: 1.4.3, Installed using apt-get, Operating System and Librarys are fully Up to Date.
Openshot Crashes alot: Over a Period of 2 Minutes it crashed like 4 Times and like 25 Times since i started using it.
The Bug is Probably due to Memory Corruption and could in my opinion be caused of an issue with a buffer.
The Bug is triggered when clicking on the Timeline to go back and forth. The Video iam editing is about 2h long.

This is what Openshot report when the Crash happens when starting from the Command Line:

on_frmMain_key_press_event
on_tlbPlay_clicked called with self.GtkWindow

Hum, in this case, the only thing that I see, will be to update mlt. Follow this faq : https://answers.launchpad.net/openshot/+faq/1861

YOu could try to use the true version of ffmpeg : https://answers.launchpad.net/openshot/+faq/1040

But before do this faq : https://answers.launchpad.net/openshot/+faq/983

Same problem here. I'm on Slackware64 and I get this output in dmesg:

It only happens after extensive cutting. I import a video, cut it a few times with the cutting tool and then click into the timeline - instant crash.

mlt is 0.9.2, ffmpeg is 2.4.3

I've updated to the latest GIT code of MLT now. I also compiled mlt without the option "--avformat-vdpau".

That seems to work better. It only crashed one time while I cut a video 50 times and moved the parts around.

So either the GIT code fixed it in the next official release or there's something wrong with my video card and vdpau. Thanks for the help. :)
