Nemo won't add Samba share folders to "Bookmarks" file menu (since 17.1)

Bug Description

First ever bug report, please be gentle. :-)

1) Version 17.1 Rebecca (Cinnamon)

2) & 3) Upgraded from 17 to 17.1

Tried to add a Nemo bookmark pointing to a folder on my NAS (e.g. smb://lg-nas.local:139/alan/). The bookmark shows up on the left sidebar correctly, but this and any other NAS folders do not correspondingly show up in the top Bookmarks menu, as they did in previous versions. I've tried this out many times with different folders, and attempted to trick the "Edit Bookmarks" dialogue box into working around it, to no success.

4) I expect the sidebar and bookmarks file menu lists of bookmarks to be identical.

5) Always. On both of my computers.

Btw, my wife's computer is still running ver. 17 (Qiana) and everything works perfectly. So I think that something broke in Nemo during the change from 17 to 17.1

Not a huge deal, but it would be nice to have this fixed. Thanks in advance for anything!

Cheers
Alan

I can confirm the description of the problem above.

The "Bookmarks" button does not reflect the total contents of $HOME/.config/gtk-3.0 bookmarks. I can add to, delete, and even comment out references to normal home subdirectories and it acts as expected but smb://xxx/yyy references are missing from the Bookmarks button.

Facing the same issue. Output of 'cat ~/.config/gtk-3.0/bookmarks'

file:///home/sahil/Videos
file:///home/sahil/Downloads
x-nemo-desktop:///
sftp://sahil@10.0.20.20/mnt sahil-10.0.20.20

Using Nemo 2.4.4's.

All four show up in "Show Places" sidebar
All four show up in Edit Bookmarks dialogue box
Only first two show up in Bookmarks menu

Expected behaviour:
All four bookmarks should also show in the Bookmarks menu in Nemo, like in Caja.

OP here. Don't know if anyone will ever read this, but this issue now appears to be fixed.

I got so used to not having this working, I never noticed if it was the upgrade to 17.3 or some other random updates that sorted it. Anyway, thanks for reading. ;-)

Hi! I did notice actually, but thanks for confirming 😊 17.3 seems to have
resolved it..
