Hello Christopher,

BIOS updated to 2.17. Same problem on 14.04/3.13. On Windows (dual-boot machine) bluetooth works and connects.

Now my 'how to report a bug' problem is only more compicated due to your comment:
"...so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't have to create a new bug report."

Do you want me to create another bug report or provide more information in this bug report?

Thank you for your time and effort.
Kind regards, Patrick

~$ sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
V2.17

Nothing happened, no change (regards before BIOS update).
Like before if I try to connect with Bluetooth my phone does not 'see' my Ubuntu and also the other way around.
On Windows (dual-boot system) bluetooth and connecting buetooth (computer-phone) works.

What more information can I provide?
Again, my problem looks a lot like bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1237296

PvZ, have you tested the intending fix commit as noted in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1237296/comments/68 yet? Instruction on testing upstream patches may be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection#Testing_a_newly_released_patch_from_upstream .

Hi Christopher,

Stopped 'trying' to apply the fix after installation of git and first command where it seems to download the whole linux (3Gb)?
Because testing the fix is like programming I cannot test the fix from 1237296/comments/68
(or do I do something wrong?)
Besides, on my system I cannot find files named btusb.c or ath3k.c

Where can I find the files I need to test or what can I do to give you more information?

Kind regards, Patrick
