Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

With the latest gutsy, firefox crashes immediately with a segmentation fault when I
start on an external display in dual head mode. On the screen of the laptop (hp tc440 running X86_64) it works fine. Here is the traceback from gdb:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Thank you for the bug report. Also, please answer these questions:

Is this crash reproducible? If so, which are the steps that lead to it?
Which flash package do you have installed?
Which Java package do you have installed?
Which firefox extensions do you have installed?

This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

Thanks,
Justin M. Wray

It is highly reproducible: Whenever I try to start firefox on the external screen it crashes immediately.

It fails like this without flash or java plugins. (I cleared the plugin-directory so that about:pugins tells me that no plugins are installed.)

I have not installed any extensions myself, but the Add-on manager lists
ubufox 0.4~beta1.

I am having the same problem on my secondary screen with firefox. Firefox starts without a problem on the primary display (0) but segfaults immediately upon start on the secondary monitor (1).

Has the bug been fixed intermediately?

I tested this some years ago and it was working I think in 2009. Can someone confirm that it's fixed. I don't have this hardware any more.
