If you launch the program (pantheon-files) in a terminal, what messages do you get?
Does the program launch if you default the setting "org.pantheon.files.preferences tab-info-list", by using dconf-editor?
Does the program launch if you disable the setting "org.pantheon.files.preferences restore-tabs"?
If you can submit a stacktrace using Apport or otherwise it would be helpful.
Thanks

The following command will reset tab-info-list as requested by Jeremy:

gsettings reset org.pantheon.files.preferences tab-info-list

Hi, I apologize for late reply. I ran the command suggested by Cody Garver and now I can use Pantheon files as usual by clicking it in Applications menu. :)
I confirm this problem is solved. Thankyou.

I glad the work around worked for you, although the bug is still valid and needs addressing. There is a branche awaiting review that will hopefully do this

I had same issue. Problem appeared when i closed file manager when it was showing folder on a drive that is not mounted on startup, so when i rebooted system... i guess it remembered that addres and tried to open it without mounting drive first.

"Error when getting information for file '/media/predrag/Mali B': No such file or directory [code 1]"

Above solution confirmed but i guess you should be looking for some permanent solution because i repeated error even without restarting system, just closing file manager at same location.

Funny thing is, when i reapplied your solution and manager worked again, drive in question was mounted.

Hope this helps, thank you very much for your work.

Hello Pedrag,

If you are still having the problem even after revision 1638, I will have to look into this again. I thought the issue of unmounted drives was fixed but it appears not. What kind of drive is it that is causing trouble? A physical drive or a network drive?
