Bug Description

Binary package hint: dolphin

d3lphin in mostly translated to Estonian both upstream and the translations are also in Launchpad, but the translations are not actually distributed: dolphin.mo is missing in langpacks.

The translations are also just fine in feisty(i just didn't know before that there dolphin was included there).
So, it is a Gutsy problem.

Not a ubuntu-meta problem, reassigning to language-pack-kde-et-base
Confirming that the problem is present for other languages too.
Since dolphin is a package in main, the mo file should be in language-pack-kde-<lang>-base

In Feisty the package was in universe and included the mo file itself.

The most likely reason is that dolphin does neither ship nor build a .pot file, so that LP cannot import the translations. Once that's done, they'll get to the langpacks automatically during the monthly updates (and the daily builds in the PPA).

In Intrepid Dolphin .pot files are imported as part of kdebase, so they are distributed. The quality may be not so good due to Rosetta bugs, but this bug is no longer applicable.
